Quince Orchard Cougars Outscore Blair Blazers, 45-6

Update, Sept. 8: The Quince Orchard Cougars outscore the Blair Blazers in week two of football for a final score of 45-6.

The Blazers returned to Quince Orchard Saturday evening to resume Friday night’s game after it was postponed. With just 6:16 remaining in the second quarter, QO led 6-0, Friday when play was suspended due to lightning. Saturday, Cougars extended thier lead to 28-0 when the Blazers scored a touchdown pass in the third quarter. With two more touchdowns by QO, the final score was QO 45, Blair 6.

Next week, the Blazers are on the road against the Wheaton Knights while the Cougars play at home against the Clarksburg Coyotes.

MCM’s Game of the Week features Blair at Quince Orchard with both teams coming off a win. In week one, QO had a lightning-shortened victory over BCC (53-0) and Blair outscored Watkins Mill (34-12).

The Cougars roared onto the field for their first home game of the season.

With 2:24 remaining in the first quarter, the Cougars took a 7-0 lead with a Marquez Cooper two-yard touchdown run.

Lightning delayed the game with 10:49 remaining in the second quarter. The game will resume Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Quince Orchard.
