Phil Fabrizio is an award-winning event, news and sports photographer in the Washington D.C. Metro area. He lives in North Potomac and has operated Sugarloaf Photography since 1985. He is a member of the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of the Glen Echo Partnership for Arts and Culture, Inc in Glen Echo. Stop by Phil’s PhotoLoaf site or follow him on Twitter @Photoloaf.

I began my blog site, Photo LOAF, in August 2011 to write about a photographer’s approach to documenting life as a slice of time. Photo assignments are usually specific place in time events. Photos of High School sporting events are captured “of the moment” and not modified and filed directly from my camera on the sidelines to MCM for them to retweet. The blogs with supporting photos reflect the event are subsequently posted. On occasions I spin off to cover other local DMV events or to add some stream of consciousness on the DMV’s sporting world events.
