UPDATE: Flash Flood Warning for Montgomery County Includes Bethesda and Silver Spring
UPDATE 10:22 a.m.: The National Weather Service has expanded the flash flood warning to include Silver Spring and Bethesda. The warning now extends until 1:45 p.m. for Montgomery County.
According to the warning, widespread flash flooding has been reported in the county. Three to six inches of rain fell in the I-20 corridor and surrounding areas this morning. Rain has ended, but the threat for flash flooding will continue through early afternoon.
The locations that may experience flooding are Germantown, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Olney, Damascus, Poolesville, Aspen Hill, Potomac, North Bethesda, Montgomery Village, North Potomac, Redland, Boyds, Rossmoor, Wheaton-Glenmont, Wheaton, Clarksburg, Darnestown, Derwood, Garrett Park, Silver Spring, and Bethesda.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 11:15 a.m. for portions of Montgomery County.
According to the warning, heavy rain is falling across the area. Up to two inches have already fallen and more rain is expected. The locations that may experience flooding are Germantown, Rockville, Olney, Damascus, Poolesville, Aspen Hill, Potomac, North Bethesda, Montgomery Village, North Potomac, Redland, Boyds, Rossmoor, Wheaton-Glenmont, Wheaton, Clarksburg, Darnestown, Derwood and Garrett Park, according to the the NWS.
Remember, turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads.
