MCM Game of the Week for Oct. 19 is Walter Johnson at Damascus

MCM’s Game of the Week features three-time defending state champions, Damascus, riding an amazing 49-game winning streak, hosting the Walter Johnson Wildcats Friday, Oct. 19.

With a win, Damascus would tie the Maryland state record of 50 consecutive wins, a mark set by Urbana from 1998-2001. Urbana won four straight state titles in that span.

Kickoff for the game is 6:30 p.m. in Damascus.

MCM’s football coverage will also include the Springbrook (0-6) at Magruder (2-4) game at 6:30 p.m. and the DeMatha (5-1) at Good Counsel (5-2) game at 7 p.m. Both DeMatha (#5) and Good Counsel (#2) are ranked in the Washington Post sports top five high school teams in the region.
