Water Safety Days Offer Free Swim Lessons and Safety Tips
Two Water Safety Days will offer free swim lessons, lifeguard demonstrations, and safety tips to promote water safety at the beginning of the pool season.
The first will take place Friday, June 1 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Water Park at Bohrer park in Gaithersburg, and the second will take place Saturday, June 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wheaton-Glenmont Pool.
The Gaithersburg event will take place rain or shine but may be postponed if weather poses a safety threat.
The Wheaton event will have police present during swim lessons. There will be a special session for swimmers with disabilities from 4 to 5 p.m.
Both events are free. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
