County Leaders Recognize Outstanding Public Safety Officers

On Friday, the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce honored public safety officials at its annual Public Safety Awards Breakfast at the Montgomery County Agricultural Center in Gaithersburg.

Elected leaders — Rep. David Trone (D-Md), State Sen. Cheryl Kagan, Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman, Montgomery County Council Vice President Sidney Katz, as well as councilmembers Will Jawando and Gabe Albornoz — came out to support more than 49 police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other public safety officers who received honors for their dedication to protecting the community.

Here’s a Twitter recap of the award ceremony.

MCM will continue sharing the stories of the brave men and women who were recognized.
