Governor Larry Hogan has scheduled a 10:45 a.m. media briefing from the State House with Deputy Health Secretary Fran Phillips which will be streamed live.
Of the total Maryland cases, 353 were hospitalized at some point and 43 have been released from isolation. According to the Maryland Department of Health, 13,316 Marylanders tested negative for coronavirus.
The number of new cases in Montgomery County has declined the last two days. The increase in new cases has levelled off and actually gone down. The last five days new cases were +37, +44, +47, +46 and +40. This seems to me to be very good news and the result of our social distancing. Your reporting above is more alarming and does not reflect the statistical improvement from a levelling off in new cases after two weeks of social distancing.
The pattern in Prince Georges County also shows a levelling off of new cases.
