Westfield Montgomery Mall Reopens with Hard-to-Miss Safety Measures
Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda reopened Tuesday after closing in March due to COVID-19.
Seating areas were closed, including the food court, and all chairs and sofas have been removed. Not every store is open, and public safety measures like hand sanitizer stations and physical distancing stickers are hard to miss.
MyMCMedia spoke with some of the shoppers from day one of reopening.
Westfield Wheaton, Lakeforest Mall and the Clarksburg Premium Outlets are also open.
What a joke . smh Why would anyone wanna go spend money where they have to cover their face and be uncomfortable while shopping. NOT ME !!! I will wait until all my “freedoms” are restored to where I can enjoy the shopping experience. .. If any business goes belly up during this virus stuff, they can blame the state & county governments for their losses. ALSO, be ready for some heavy tax increases because the counties & states are gonna say they need to raise the taxes because of the lost tax revenue caused by them closing and choosing the “winners & losers” of which businesses can be open and which have to wait to open & follow their rules .
Why are malls opening back up?! We should be making sure we are all cured with vaccines instead of risking our lives headed back in to these malls. People can carry the virus and contaminate so many others. I will not be going back to the mall, this is ridiculous. The people who work at the mall have risk exposure because people can’t stay at home? My children will not be going to the mall
dont tell me you guys are opening up the food court with the table and chairs until august if so my friends and i will be very angry plus you guys took away every single chair and sofa away not right
