Delaney Dispatches Billboard Calling Out Governor Hogan to Take Position on Trump (PHOTO)
If you were in Annapolis today you may have noticed a giant moving billboard driving around the State House. The question is, did it get Governor Larry Hogan’s attention?
The front of the sign asks: “Gov. Hogan: Will you support Trump as the Republican nominee?” On the other side it states, “Silence is an endorsement.”
The billboard was dispatched and paid for by Rep. John Delaney, who is rumored to be eyeing Hogan’s position. The billboard also features a petition website created by the Friends of Delaney. The site states that residents deserve to know Hogan’s position on Trump’s candidacy.
Hogan has not stated whether or not he would support Trump as the GOP nominee.
Delaney, on the other hand, has made his stance clear, “Because everyone in Maryland will lose if Trump wins,” he says on the billboard.
Delaney also released the following statement about the billboard, calling out Hogan:
“Electing Donald Trump would be a disaster for the country and for the people in my district. Governor Hogan should tell the people of Maryland if he will support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee. It takes no time to decide if you support what Trump Stands for – yet it’s been 19 days and Governor Hogan still won’t answer a simple yes or no question.”
Delaney’s views on Trump are not new, in fact in an interview with MyMCMedia earlier this month, he said that Donald Trump is “unfit to be President.”
It takes no time to decide if you support what Trump stands for. Gov Hogan is playing politics instead of leading. https://t.co/pLttf4VXrb
