5 Things to Know Today, July 14, In Montgomery County

Today is Wednesday, July 14, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County.

1. Weekly County COVID-19 Briefing: County Executive Marc Elrich, County Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles and Emergency Management Director Dr. Earl Stoddard will hold their weekly media briefing at 12:30 p.m. You can watch live on MCM channels 21 and 995 (HD), County Cable Montgomery and on the county’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

2. COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine Clinics: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at eight testing sites today. Montgomery County clinics are vaccinating residents ages 12 and older. Make an appointment here.

3. Mobile Market: Montgomery College’s Mobile Market free food distribution is back from 2-4 p.m. today inside the Rockville campus North garage.

4. Redistricting Commission Meeting: The county council’s Commission on Redistricting will meet on Zoom from 5-6:30 p.m. It will be livestreamed on the council’s Facebook page.

5. Animation Workshop: There are seats left for Friday’s 10 a.m. animation virtual workshop for senior residents, hosted by Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL). Register here.
