Drinking Alcohol at Montgomery County Parks No Longer Allowed

Consuming alcoholic beverages at local parks is no longer allowed in select Montgomery County parks as of July 1.

The MoCo Eat’s Picnic in the Park Program launched last fall to encourage residents to buy take-out from local businesses and eat at picnic tables throughout the county. With Maryland’s state of emergency lifted, many programs created in response to the pandemic have ended as well.

However, Montgomery County Council President Tom Hucker explains how local officials are searching for solutions to potentially continue the program safely.
