UPDATED: Police Investigate Homicide in Briggs Chaney Area
UPDATED Montgomery County police officers are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man, who was found dead in the Briggs Chaney area on Friday night, as a homicide.
Detectives have identified the victim as Sheldon Williams of southeast Washington, D.C.
According to police, the investigation is ongoing and detectives are urging anyone who may have information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070.

ORIGINAL POST Montgomery County police detectives are investigating a suspicious death in the Briggs Chaney area.
Police officers say a deceased man was found shortly before midnight along a paved trail in the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard last night.
According to police officers, the man had trauma to his upper body.
Police are describing the death investigation as “active and ongoing.”
An autopsy is scheduled to be completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
