Today is Monday, Dec. 21, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:

1. COVID-19 Testing: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at nine testing sites today. The schedule of clinics may be found here.

2. Workshops for Job Seekers:  The libraries are offering free online workshops and one-on-one sessions to assist job seekers throughout December. Register to meet confidentially with a career counselor for advice and assistance with a job search. Register for today’s session here or the session on Dec. 28 here.

3. Municipal Monday: Gaithersburg’s Mayor and Council meet virtually at 7:30 p.m. Here’s the agenda and the agenda packet.

4. Street Smart Exhibit: The “Lives Shatter on Impact” testimonial exhibit features the stories of local residents who have been impacted by a pedestrian or bicyclist crash. The exhibit is on display at Westfield Wheaton today and tomorrow.

5. KVFD Santa Run:  Santa will make his way on a fire truck through the neighborhoods of SW Kensington and Chevy Chase View with the help of the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department. The run starts at 6 p.m.
