Here are five things to know today, Monday, Nov. 26, in Montgomery County:
1. Bail Hearing: Four teens, previously charged as juveniles in the Damascus High School sexual assaults, are now being charged as adults and expected to appear in front of a judge today for a bail hearing.
2. Police to Receive Donation of 100 Teddy Bears: The Montgomery County Police Department and Family Justice Center will be accepting a donation of over 100 new plush teddy bears that were collected by local professional theater, Adventure Theatre MTC.
3. Community Conversation on Widening I-495: The Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board’s Transportation, Environment, and Energy Committee will be hosting a community conversation on the Widening I-495. The meeting will be held at the Silver Spring Civic Building and begins at 7 p.m.
4. Canned Food Drive: Kids Town will be collecting non-perishable items for a local shelter in the month of November.
5. Four Parks Are Closed This Week:
