Here are five things to know today, Tuesday, Nov. 20, in Montgomery County:
1. Canned Food Drive: Kids Town will be collecting non-perishable items for a local shelter in the month of November.
2. Bethesda Urban Partnership Meeting: The Bethesda Urban Partnership meets the third Tuesday of every month beginning at 7:45 a.m. in the Bethesda Urban Partnership conference room. Meetings are open to the public.
3. Recreational Swim: There’s a new earlier start time for Recreation Swim at Kennedy Shriver Aquatic Center. Recreational swim will begin at 11 a.m.
4. Leashes and Lights: Treat your pooch to a leisurely stroll or an invigorating 3-mile walk at Leashes ‘n’ Lights from 6 to 9 p.m. Bond with your favorite canine as you experience 380 illuminated displays and 65 animated vignettes. The event will take place at Seneca Creek Park, located at 11950 Clopper Road in Gaithersburg.
5. Garden of Lights Closed:
REMINDER: Garden of Lights is closed this week from Monday, November 19, to Thursday, November 22.
