1. County COVID-19 Testing Clinics: Free testing is available today in Silver Spring, Germantown, and Rockville. For details about hours and locations, visit the county’s testing website.
2. Food Resources: Food giveaway events are happening at various locations throughout the county today through Sunday. Click here to see locations and times.
3. H2O Virtual Summit: Learn about water quality and how you can become more involved at today’s summit from 1 to 4 p.m.. Topics include reducing stormwater, climate change and resiliency, the County pesticide law and the zero waste plan. The event will be held virtually via Zoom, register here. The H2O Summit is a collaborative effort by Montgomery County, Montgomery Parks, WSSC Water, the Cities of Gaithersburg and Rockville, and the University of Maryland Extension.

5. Public Safety Task Force Survey: The deadline to provide your input on community policing in Montgomery County is Saturday, Nov.14. County Executive Elrich will hold a community discussion on the results of the survey Thursday, Dec. 3.

And one more thing: The last Friday the 13th this year was March 13 and the news was alarming. Gov. Larry Hogan’s public health emergency took effect. All Maryland Public Schools closed starting March 16, the county library branches all closed March 16, and county employees were directed to telework starting March 16.
