1. Council in Session: Montgomery County Council meets today at 9:30 a.m. Here’s a look at today’s agenda.

2. Fenton Street Pepco UpdatePepco is installing underground transmission lines between the Takoma and Sligo Substations. There’s construction on portions of Fenton Street and Takoma Avenue in Silver Spring. Pepco and its contractor, CW and Sons, will talk to community members from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Silver Spring Library about this project. Here’s more information.

3. Capital Improvements Program Budget Forum: Residents can offer input about the county’s six-year capital construction budget tonight at 7 p.m. at the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown.

4. Montgomery Parks Community Meeting: Montgomery Parks is hosting a community meeting tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Kensington Town Hall. Parks staff will discuss updates on the Warner Mansion and Kensington Cabin Park. Here’s more information.

5. 2019 Youth Development & Mentoring Symposium: Today through May 16, the Montgomery County Collaboration Council is hosting 150 youth development professionals at the annual Youth Development and Mentoring Symposium.
