1. White Oak Medical Center hiring event: The East County Regional Services Center is hosting a medical career hiring event from noon to 7 p.m. at the East County Regional Services Center in Silver Spring. Help is available to prepare for the event. Registration is not required, more information is available, here.
2. Nepal America International Film Festival: This annual film festival organized by Nepal America Film Society showcases all genres of films including feature lengths, documentaries, animations, experimental and shorts. The opening ceremony and gala takes place today from 6 to 10 p.m. at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center. The film Goodbye Kathmandu will be screened.

4. MoCo Pride Party: In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, MoCo Pride Party features all-night entertainment, community atmosphere, food and drink vendors, and local LGBTQ organizations. The party takes place at Rocvkille Town Square Saturday, June 29 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
5. Thrive Week continues: Today is the third day of Thrive Week in Montgomery County. The Montgomery County Planning Department is holding five community events Which started June 26 and continue through June 30, with the intention of crafting a 30-year plan for the future of Montgomery County. Today’s event is at the Germantown splash park and mini-golf facility from 3 to 6 p.m. Enjoy a fun afternoon at this Montgomery Parks facility and engage with Montgomery Planning as staff asks attendees about ideas for the future of Montgomery County.
