2. Blood Drive: The Montgomery County Police Department is holding a Memorial Blood Drive for Officer Noah Leotta, who was killed by a drunk driver in Dec. 2015. The blood drive will be at the Montgomery County Police’s Public Safety Headquarters on 100 Edison Park Dr. in Gaithersburg. Make an appointment to give blood between 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the Red Cross’ website (search “20878” or “Gaithersburg”).

4. Active Shooter Training: Takoma Park Police is conducting active shooting training scenarios at John Nevins Andrews School. If you are around this area, you may hear gunshots, so be aware that officers are using “non-lethal training ammunition.”
TPPD will be conducting active shooter training scenarios at John Nevins Andrews School on December 12, 13, 19 and 20. You may at times hear what sounds like gunshots; the officers will be using non-lethal training ammunition called simunitions, which may sound real. pic.twitter.com/GtXZ5wWG4B
