It’s Tuesday, April 28 and on this day in United States history in 1788, Maryland ratified the U.S. constitution. Maryland was the seventh state to do so. Now that you have a fun fact, here are five things to know in Montgomery County.

1. Council in Virtual Session: Montgomery County Council meets virtually at 9:35 a.m. Here is a look at the agenda for the meeting.

2. MCPS Seeks Ideas on Honoring Seniors: Montgomery County Public Schools is asking seniors in MCPS high schools and their parents to fill out a survey for ideas about how the Class of 2020 should be recognized. See this tweet for details:

3. Virtual Tasting: Jennifer Wall, a winemaker, is hosting a free Virtual Barefoot Seltzer Tasting at 5 p.m. After those interested register for the virtual tasting, they will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link.

4. Upcounty Takeout Tuesday: Several restaurants in Clarksburg, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village and Poolesville are committed to staying open on Tuesdays as part of Montgomery County’s “Eat Up: Upcounty Takeout Tuesday” initiative. See the following story for details:
