Here are five things to know today, June 11, in Montgomery County:

1. Affordable Housing Summit: County Executive Marc Elrich will speak about affordable housing at the Meeting of the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers today.

2. Council in Session: Montgomery County Council meets today at 9:30 a.m. Here’s a look at today’s agenda.

3. Memorial for Robert White: Family, friends, and neighbors will gather today to remember Robert White, who was killed June 11, 2018 by a police officer. A vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Three Oaks Drive, near the corner of Sligo Creek Parkway in Silver Spring. At 6:30 p.m., the group will proceed to the Christ Congregational Church at 9525 Colesville Road where a service will be held at 7 p.m. The service will be followed by a reception. The public is invited.

4. MCPS Board of Education Meets: MCPS’s Board of Education is meeting today at 1 p.m. Here’s a look at the meeting’s agenda.

5. Pretextual Traffic Stop:   Councilmember Will Jawando was stopped by a Maryland State Police trooper on Saturday.
