2. International Underground Railroad Month: Throughout the month of September, Maryland is recognizing September as International Underground Railroad Month. Last week, Montgomery County celebrated the start of the month at the new Josiah Henson Museum in North Bethesda. 3. Memoir from Gaithersburg Rapper: The rapper Logic, who was born in Gaithersburg, has a new memoir that hits stores today called “This Bright Future.”
4. Get Vaccinated to See a Show: Several of Montgomery County’s theaters and live performances venues are requiring the coronavirus vaccine in order to see a show. Anyone 12 years and older is eligible for a vaccine. Register online to make an appointment at a county-run COVID-19 vaccine clinic. To find another vaccine clinic near you, go to Vaccines.gov.

5. Walk up Food Distribution: Montgomery County hosts two food distribution events today. From 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., you can stop by Hughes UMC Mid County Hub Food Distributions in Silver Spring; from 2 to 3 p.m., or the Upcounty Hub Drive-thru Distribution at Germantown Elementary School.
