1. Local COVID-19 Vaccine Information: Montgomery County has entered Priority Group 1B, Tier 1 of the vaccination process, consisting of people aged 75 and older. Local health officials continue to stress that the vaccine supply is extremely limited. County clinic appointments are currently for Groups 1A and Group 1B, Tier 1. 2. County COVID-19 Media Briefing: Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will host his weekly virtual media briefing today at noon. The briefing – rescheduled from Wednesday – can be viewed live on MCM Channels 21 and 995 plus the County’s Facebook page and on County Cable Montgomery at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.

3. County COVID-19 Testing Clinics: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at nine testing sites today.
4. Notice of Traffic Signal Replacement: The City of Gaithersburg Department of Public Works is in the final stages of replacing the traffic signal at Odendhal and Russell Avenues’ intersection. Today, a power service will be installed in preparation for the new traffic signal. Public Works requests that drivers utilize other routes and avoid the intersection if possible. 5. Student Councilmember For a Day Challenge: Students in grades 8-12 interested in politics and want to know what it is like to serve as a Montgomery County Councilmember are invited to submit Councilmember entries.
