Westside at Shady Grove Metro Opens Sales Office (PHOTOS)
There is a new EYA community going up in Montgomery County and it’s described as transit friendly. It’s called Westside at Shady Grove Metro and it’s located at the intersection of Crabbs Branch Way and Shady Grove Road.
The sales office opened at 16658 Crabbs Branch Way on May 2nd for pre-construction sales and the first move ins are expected in late 2015 or early 2016, according to a news release on the community’s website.
County officials are scheduled to participate in a ground breaking at the site on May 12.
When it is complete, Westside will feature over 400 luxury townhomes, over 1,000 multi-family homes and 40,000 square feet of retail shops. Residents will be able to enjoy amenities such as a clubhouse with 25-meter outdoor pool, lounge areas, and fitness center; a dog park; a community garden; walking paths connecting to nearby trails; and a variety of green spaces throughout.
Westside is the 45-acre parcel of the 90-acre redevelopment at Shady Grove Metro, which will also include an elementary school and sports fields.
More changes are coming to this area. Crabbs Branch Way is scheduled to be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly promenade and will include a connection of bike trails through the site. The 90-acre project is a Smart Growth Initiative in partnership with Montgomery County and improves the use of Metro-oriented land in the County.
