Fall is definitely the time for festivals and celebrations in Montgomery County. A few happening this weekend include Bethesda Row Arts Festival, Rockville’s annual Antique & Classic Car Show on Saturday; and the World of Montgomery Festival on Sunday. Don’t forget that Sunday is the first day of Community Service Week in the county.

Friday, October 14:
- Sugarloaf Crafts Festival features the work of more than 350 artisans at the county fairgrounds in Gaithersburg. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Olney Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank at 7:45 p.m.
- AFI Silver is showing the documentary Do Not Resist tonight at 7:20 p.m. The film examines the state of policing in America in the light of the tragedy in Ferguson, Missouri. Additional screenings are available Saturday and Sunday.
- The popular Halloween attractions Field of Screams and Markoff’s Haunted Forest are open tonight.
- The Unexpected Stage Company presents Zombie Prom at 7:30 p.m. at the Randolph Road Theater.
- Round House Theatre’s production of Angels in America: Perestroika takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Bethesda.
- Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club present Morris Day & The Time at 7 p.m.
- Kensington Arts Theatre-Second Stage’s production of Wizard of Oz Junior at Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn starts at 7:30 p.m.
- Strathmore Manhattan Transfer Meets Take 6 at the Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m.
Saturday, October 15:
- Olney Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank at 1:45 and 7:45 p.m.
- Sugarloaf Crafts Festival hours today are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event takes place at the county fairgrounds in Gaithersburg and includes a number of live demonstrations and workshops by master craftspeople.
- It’s Antique Appraisal Day at Sandy Spring Museum. Bring any item from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and for a low fee, receive a professional appraisal.
- Olney Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank at 1:45 and 7:45 p.m.
- Montgomery History opens the new exhibit titled “Cocktails, Lipstick & Jazz: Life in the Age of Fitzgerald” to the public today at the Beall-Dawson Museum in Rockville. The exhibit displays life in the 1920s.
- Party for a cause at the Crimson Lounge 2.0 fundraiser at the Silver Spring Civis Building at 8 p.m.
- Younger children (8 years and under) may enjoy the “Eye Spy” Halloween Train at Cabin John Regional Park. Wheaton Regional Park offers a more intense Halloween “Haunted Train and Creepy Carousel” experience for older children.
- Round House Theatre’s production of Angels in America: Millennium Approaches takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Bethesda.
- The Unexpected Stage Company presents Zombie Prom at 2 and 7:30 p.m. at the Randolph Road Theater.
- The popular Halloween attractions Field of Screams and Markoff’s Haunted Forest are open tonight.
- BlackRock Center for the Arts presents Chelsey Green & the Green Project at 8 p.m. Please note only a few tickets remain at this time.
- AMP by Strathmore presents contemporary jazz with Dee Lucas at 8 p.m.
Sunday, October 16:
- The Sugarloaf Craft Festival takes place at the county fairgrounds today. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plan you visit with the online guide.
- Olney Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank at 1:45 p.m.
- The Unexpected Stage Company presents Zombie Prom at 2 p.m. at the Randolph Road Theater.
- Chopteech Afrofunk Big Band and JaneliaSoul perform at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club at 7:30 p.m.
- The popular Halloween attraction Field of Screams is open tonight.
- Round House Theatre’s production of Angels in America takes place at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
- AMP by Strathmore’s Sidemen: Long Road to Glory kicks off Strathmore’s celebration of the Blues with talks, music and a screening of the film. Doors open at 3 p.m.
