Late for Supper concert: Gaithersburg’s Backyard Concert Series returns with Late for Supper. The band members include Dan Bourdeaux (bass, guitar, vocals), Vadim Levi (keyboards), Phillip Hough (guitar, percussion, vocals), Lindsay Hough (guitar, bass, vocals), and Chris Compton (drums, guitar, bass, vocals). Mary Stuart: Based on the play by Friedrich Schiller, the story is set in the 16th Century. Queen Elizabeth I must decide whether to put her cousin, Mary Queen of Scots to death. Takoma Trukgarten: About a dozen breweries are participating in Takoma Park’s annual craft beer and food festival. There will be over 20 different craft beers plus cider and a wine tent. Food from local restaurants and food vendors will be available. Saturday, June 1 from noon to 5 p.m. at the TPSS Co-op parking lot at 201 Ethan Allen Avenue, Takoma Park. Jubilation Day Gospel Concert: The city of Gaithersburg presents the 13th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Concert with performances of all styles of Gospel and Christian music by local and regional artists. Washington Folk Festival: This is the 39th year for the folk festival which is held rain or shine and features over 400 musicians, storytellers, dancers, and crafters from the greater Washington area. The festival is presented by the Folklore Society of Greater Washington and the Glen Echo Park Partnership. Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2 from noon to 7 p.m. Glen Echo Park.
