Water Safety Day Set for June 3 (VIDEO)

Montgomery County’s Recreation Department and the cities of Gaithersburg and Rockville plan to host a free Water Safety Day on June 3, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Water Park at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg.

“As summer gets underway and outdoor community pools open for the summer season, the timing is perfect to focus on water safety,” said County Executive Ike Leggett. “I encourage all families to participate in this event to learn effective ways to avoid accidents.”

This annual event will include information booths, lifeguard demonstrations, free swim lesson screenings and more.

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
