Three Teens Killed in Pickup Truck Crash (PHOTO)

Montgomery County police officers say three teenagers were killed in a pickup truck crash last night in Damascus.

It happened at 11:36 p.m. in the 25300 block of Burnt Hill Road.

In a news release, police said the preliminary investigation indicates that the Ford F-250 was traveling southbound on Burnt Hill Road, approaching Kingstead Road, when for reasons still under investigation the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

According to police,  two of the teens died at the scene of the crash. Police have identified the driver as 17-year-old Jacob Dennis of Boyds. Police identified a passenger in the vehicle as 18-year-old Patrick Shifflett of Laytonsville.

According to police, a third passenger, 17-year-old Cary Greene of Clarksburg, died from his injuries at a local hospital.

Police said this collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240.773.6620. Callers may remain anonymous.
