Police Investigate Auto Theft and Burglary in Bethesda (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help to identify two men suspected of stealing a car from a Bethesda driveway and taking 25 Apple iPads form a school in Chevy Chase.

According to police, on the evening of June 23rd, a silver BMW 328i was stolen from a residential driveway in the 9800 block of Raleigh Tavern Court in Bethesda sometime between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Police said the car was left unlocked with a key inside and was recovered the next day in Washington, D.C.  Police searched the car and found clothing similar to the clothing worn by one of the suspects according to a press release.

Later the same evening, police responded to a report of a burglary at the Lycee Rochambeau-French International School located at 3200 Woodbine Street in Chevy Chase. Police said a first-floor classroom window had been broken and 25 Apple iPads were stolen.

Police released video surveillance from the burglary at the school and said the video shows two men at the school about 8 p.m. June 23. Police said the video also shows the suspects’ two cars, one of which the police believe to be the stolen BMW from Raleigh Tavern Court.

Detectives are asking that anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about the burglaries call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240.773.6700. Callers may remain anonymous.
