Police: Guardian Located After Unattended Toddler Found in White Oak

The parent or guardian of a young boy has been located after he was found unattended in White Oak on Thursday night, according to Montgomery County Police.

Officers say the child is believed to be three or four years of age and was found alone in the 1700 block of January Drive around 10:30 p.m.

According to an MCPD press release, responding officers located the child and attempted to find any parents or guardians in the area with residents’ assistance. No parents or guardians were located during that time. Police say they took care of the child until his parent or guardian was located.

Police announced the toddlers’ parent or guardian had been located at 10 a.m. on Friday.
