Payless Signs Long-term Lease at Ellsworth Place (PHOTO)

Owner developers of Ellsworth Place retail center, Petrie Richardson Ventures and Rockwood Capital, announced on Wednesday that family footwear retailer Payless ShoeSource (Payless) signed a long-term, 3,332-sqaure-foot lease, on the second level at the location.
“This addition is another in our commitment to the thoughtful rebranding and revitalization of downtown Silver Spring’s premier retail center,” Terry Richardson, president and COO of PRV said. “We welcome Payless to the community and to our growing roster of new tenants that offer everything from entertainment and dining to arts, crafts and fashion,” Richardson said.
Payless joins dining and entertainment venue Dave and Buster’s, which is set to open in mid-2016, Forever 21 Red, and Footlocker in leasing spaces at the revitalized retail space, formerly known as City Place Mall. Currently, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Ross, T.J. Maxx, and Michaels (opening in the spring), are anchor tenants at Ellsworth Place.
