Medstar NRH Offers Adaptive Sports Programs
Numerous studies have shown how important physical exercise is for us to lead healthy lives. The same is true for people who are in a wheelchair as the result of injury or illness. The Medstar National Rehabilitation Network encourages children and adults with disabilities to get involved in adaptive sports.
The Adaptive Sports program activities are offered free of charge. The Medstar National Rehabilitation Network covers the cost of equipment and other expenses through direct funding, sponsors and donations.
