MCPS Interim Superintendent Dr. McKnight Reviews Back-To-School Plans

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Interim Superintendent Dr. Monifa McKnight joined the county’s weekly COVID-19 virtual media briefing on Wednesday to lay out back-to-school plans.

Dr. McKnight sheds more light on what the school system has in place to keep students and staff safe amid the pandemic.

 

MCPS officials say there are several precautions in place, including:

  • Staff will be required to be vaccinated or submit to weekly COVID-19 testing.
  • Face masks will be required in all facilities.
  • Each school will maximize outdoor spaces for lunch-time
  • There will be strict cleaning and ventilation practices
