Ledecky, Springs, Milloy Among Inaugural Class of Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame

Katie Ledecky will headline the inaugural class of inductees into the Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame. Ledecky has earned five Olympic gold medals and 15 world championship gold medals.

Ledecky, 22, will be joined in the 2019 Hall of Fame class by Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Dominique Dawes, Springbrook High great and former Washington Redskins cornerback Shawn Springs, legendary high school football coach Bob Milloy, U.S. national soccer team star Bruce Murray, and baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson – who will be honored posthumously.

The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, Sept. 13 at the Silver Spring Civic Center and will be free and open to the public.
