Gaithersburg Man Charged with Impersonating Police Officer

A 35-year-old Gaithersburg man has been charged with impersonating a police officer, a police statement said.
Itai Ozderman of the 100 block of Elmira Lane in Gaithersburg also faces a charge of transporting a handgun in a vehicle, police said.
After obtaining a search warrant of Ozderman’s home, police found seven handguns, two assault rifles, a shotgun. Inside a car parked at the home, detectives found a loaded handgun, body armor, tactical vests, ammunition and what appeared to be a Baltimore County Police badge, police said.
The Baltimore County Police Department verified that Ozderman was not a police officer and was never employed by the department, Montgomery police said.
Ozderman was arrested and released after posting a $10,000 bond, police said.
