Today is Wednesday, Oct. 14, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:

1. Free COVID-19 Testing: Montgomery County offers free coronavirus testing at seven clinics today. Check here for a list of times and locations.

2. Bike Quick Check: The Washington Area Bicyclist Association wants to teach you how to do a quick maintenance check on your bike. The event is at noon on Zoom.

3. Nonprofit Montgomery COVID-19 Meeting: Nonprofit Montgomery is holding a virtual conversation at 11 a.m. about how COVID-19 has impacted the digital divide and residents’ access to services. County Council President Sidney Katz will be joining.

4. Committee Meetings: The Planning, Housing and Economic Development (PHED) and Government Operations and Fiscal Policy (GO) committees will be meeting at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively. See agendas here.

5. Senior Planet Montgomery: Senior Planet Montgomery continues to offer free Zoom classes to senior residents. Today’s classes include “Getting Started with Venmo” and “Online Tools for Contacting Your Lawmakers.”
