Here are five things to know today, March 21st, in Montgomery County:

1.  The Montgomery County Council meets today and one of the items on the agenda is a resolution asking Congress to reject President Donald Trump’s federal budget proposal.

2. It’s Election Day in the town of Somerset.

3. In Takoma Park, Mayor Kate Stewart and Montgomery College (MC) President DeRionne Pollard will be hosting a community conversation from 7:30 – 9 p.m. at the Community Center about MC’s Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus.

4. You can enjoy Pop Up Recess at Elm Street Urban Park in Bethesda from 3 – 5 p.m. The Montgomery Parks program includes giant board games, balls, jump ropes and more fun things for families to play within the park.

5. At the Germantown Library, the Underground Railroad and the role of quilts are topics of a special event. This discussion is being presented from 7 – 8:30 p.m. as part of Women’s History Month.
