1. It’s Groundhog Day! Will Punxsutawney Phil, the celebrity groundhog, see his shadow? According to legend, if it’s sunny and he sees his shadow that means six more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t see his shadow, then an early spring is on the way.

2. Back to business: A briefing about the Dickerson incinerator fire is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the County Council hearing room in Rockville.

3. Montgomery Parks officials are presenting revised recommendations about the Outdoor Tennis Policy to the Planning Board today.

4. Someone is leaving blue hearts on Montgomery County police cars to thank officers for protecting our streets.

5. An artists reception for the multimedia exhibit, Love & Harmony, is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. -8 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, and you are invited to attend.
