Five Things to Know for Oct. 17 in Montgomery County

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 17 and National Pasta Day. Here are five things Montgomery County residents need to know:

1. Visualize 2045:  The Washington Metropolitan Council of Governments Transportation Planning Board will vote on the new long-range transportation plan for the region at their meeting today.

2. Mobile Market at MC Rockville:  Montgomery College and the Capital Area Food Bank will provide fresh fruits, vegetables and other foods on the Rockville campus today for students, faculty and the public. More details available here.

3. Job Fair:  The second annual East County Regional Job Fair takes place today in Silver Spring from 3-7 p.m.
