It’s Tuesday, Oct. 16, and here are five things Montgomery County residents need to know:

1. Pedal to the Metal: The Montgomery County Council meets today and on its agenda is consideration of a bicycle master plan. Staff reports are only a click away with this agenda.

2. Voter Deadline: Today is the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 6 election. The state has an online form here.

3. Doesn’t Look a Day Older than 39: Montgomery College’s Germantown campus is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

4. Designing Women … and Men: Speaking of Montgomery College, teams from the college, SmithGroup architects and LINK Strategic Partners will discuss design options for the Catherine and Isiah Leggett Math and Science Building planned for theTakoma Park / Silver Spring Campus.
