1. Be Safe, Be Seen: The “Be Safe, Be Seen” campaign makes a stop at Richard Montgomery High School this afternoon from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Representatives will distribute brochures with safety information and reflective materials to students as they leave school.
2. Coping with dementia workshop: This workshop provides a dementia simulation for caregivers, families and local community who may be struggling to cope with the behavioral changes caused by dementia. Easterseals provides the training at the Silver Spring Library from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. RSVP here.
3. Garden of Lights: Brookside Gardens annual holiday light show opens tonight and runs through December 31. Stroll through the gardens that are illuminated with more than one million lights shaped into art forms of flowers, animals and other natural elements. Enjoy live music by JP Jazz in the Conservatory from 6 – 9:30 p.m.
4. Rockville tree lighting: Rockville Town Square hosts a holiday celebration featuring the lighting of its holiday tree, as well as a live music and dance performance, from 6-8:30 p.m. tonight.
5. ICYMI: A self-driving shuttle has received approval from the Maryland Department of Transportation to operate in Montgomery County.
