Five Things to Know for Nov. 14 in Montgomery County

Happy Wednesday! Here are five things to know today, Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Montgomery County:

1. Hypothermia Alert: Montgomery County has activated the Extreme Cold Plan for a Hypothermia Alert until noon today.

2. Community Meeting Regarding Acorn ParkM-NCPPC Montgomery Parks will be presenting the recommended plan to the Historic Preservation Commission for a design consultation on Acorn Park. The meeting will be at the M-NCPPC Montgomery Regional Office Auditorium, located at 8787 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

3. Coffee with a Cop: Montgomery County Police Department will host Coffee with a Cop from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at the Rockville Target, located at

Dale Drive Community Meeting: Residents are invited to join the Woodside Park Civic Association, the Woodside Forest Civic Association, and the Dale Drive Safety Coalition for a meeting to discuss the latest developments for Dale Drive, including an overview of MCDOT’s pedestrian safety study. The meeting will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 1607 Grace Church Road.
