1. Council in Session: The Montgomery County Council meets in the Council Hearing room at 9 a.m. Council Vice President Sidney Katz will present a proclamation recognizing Veteran’s Day. Here’s a look at the agenda for the meeting.

2. Announcement About New Economic Development Platform: Montgomery County Council President Nancy Navarro is hosting a press conference at 11 a.m. in Rockville where she is announcing a new Economic Development Platform with County Executive Marc Elrich, Councilmembers, as well as other business community leaders. 3. MCPS Early Release Day: Students at Montgomery County Public Schools get to enjoy a half day.

4. Be Safe, Be Seen:  The “Be Safe, Be Seen” campaign is coming to the Silver Spring Metro Station from 4 to 6 p.m. The campaign, which is a collaboration facilitated by the County’s Vision Zero Initiative, aims to promote pedestrian safety.

5. State Workshop on I-270 Congestion:  From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., commuters and motorists have a chance to sound discuss strategies for reducing congestion on Interstate 270 between I-370 in Gaithersburg and I-70 in Frederick. The workshop is at Clarksburg High School, located on 22500 Wims Road.
