1. Grocery Store Opens: Rockville’s first ALDI grocery store opens its doors for business today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7:50 a.m. The first 100 customers receive gift cards. The store is located at 1501 Rockville Pike.
2. MacDonald Knolls Center Opens: Montgomery County Public Schools holds a grand opening ceremony for the new MacDonald Knolls Early Childhood Center in Silver Spring. This is the first prekindergarten/early childhood center in the county to combine general and special education programming in one location.
3. Got Leftover Halloween Candy? Operation Gratitude’s Halloween Candy Give-Back program accepts donations of extra and leftover candy to include in care packages for Veterans, first responders, and deployed troops.
4. Early Voting: Today is the final day of early voting for the general election. Check the Montgomery County Board of Elections website for the wait time at each of the 11 early voting locations in the county.
