1. Virtual Safety Week:  Elementary and middle school students are invited to the county’s first virtual safety week. The event emphasizes safety in all forms of travel.

2. Municipal Monday: Gaithersburg’s Mayor and Council meet at 7:30 p.m. Here’s the agenda. Virtual meeting information may be found here. The Rockville Mayor and Council meet at 6 p.m. The agenda may be found here. The meeting may be viewed on county cable channel 11 or live-streamed at www.rockvillemd.go/rockville11.

3. Town Hall with Councilmember Tom Hucker: Join a virtual town hall hosted by Council Vice President Tom Hucker tonight at 7 p.m. featuring US Representative John Sarbanes. Register to join by Zoom here or watch the Facebook live stream.

4. How Voting by Mail Could Save the U.S. Election: Maryland’s primary election day is June 2. Every registered voter will receive a ballot in the mail. Voters are encouraged to vote by mail.

5. One Day Until MCM’s Giving Tuesday: Montgomery Community Media, like other nonprofits, is facing economic uncertainty because of the coronavirus. We are asking those who are able to make a donation to support local news and television programming.
