1. 4Business Public Hearing: County Executive Marc Elrich and Council Vice President Sidney Katz are continuing their 4Business series tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building. Here’s more information.
2. Navarro Presser: Council President Nancy Navarro is meeting with members of the media today at 11 a.m. She’ll be discussing the county’s fiscal year 2020 operating and six-year capital budgets — which are scheduled for votes on May 23 — and the council’s summer agenda.
3. Step Up Showcase: Young dancers from Step Up at Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center, Greencastle Elementary School, Eastern Middle School, and the Paint Branch High School Eclectic Steppers are coming together for a “Step Up Showcase” tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Good Hope Community Recreation Center in Silver Spring. Tickets to the showcase are free, but people must RSVP ahead of time.
4. Takoma Park City Council Meeting: Takoma Park’s City Council meets tonight from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Takoma Park Community Center’s auditorium. These meetings are open for the public to attend.
5. Rockville Draft Comprehensive Master Plan Public Hearing: Rockville Planning Commission is holding a public hearing tonight from 7 to 10 p.m.regarding the draft comprehensive plan. The meeting will be at City Hall in the Mayor and Council chambers.
