Five Things to Know for March 23 in Montgomery County

Rain today with a high of 47 degrees, check out the weather forecast. Today is Monday, March 23 and here are five things you need to know in Montgomery County:

1. Coronavirus Telephone Town Hall:  Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08) will host a telephone town hall with Montgomery, Frederick, and Carroll County public health experts to answer questions about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), share guidance on steps you can take to protect yourself and your family, and give an update on what federal, state, and local officials are doing to keep our community safe. 2. Public Library Service Reminder:  Book drops at all the county libraries are currently closed through March 27. Library fines are suspended until April 6. Please do not attempt to return any materials to the book drops.

3. Expanded MCPS Food Service:  The county schools expanded the emergency meals service on Friday. There are now 50 locations throughout the county. Find the list of locations and times, here.
