1. Council in Session: Montgomery County Council meets this morning at 9:30 a.m. Here’s the meeting’s agenda for today.
2. Free, Confidential HIV Testing: The African American Health Program (AAHP) is conducting free and confidential HIV testing at locations throughout Montgomery County. Today there will be free tests from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Dennis Avenue Health Center in Silver Spring.
3. The Neuroscience of Elite Performance: U.S. Army Capt. Allison Brager will be at the National Museum of Health and Medicine’s Medical Museum Science Cafe tonight from 6 to 7 p.m. to discuss sleep techniques that prevent injuries, as well as “what makes the brains of high-performing soldiers and athletes unique.” The event is free to the public and is located at 2500 Linden Lane in Silver Spring. 4. NIH Evening Speakers Club: The NIH Evening Speakers Club meets tonight from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on the second floor of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center. Here’s more information.
