Five Things to Know for Jan. 8 in Montgomery County
It’s Tuesday, Jan. 8, and here are five things you need to know:
1. NIH Speakers Club: Want to build your leadership skills or become a more confident speaker? NIH Evening Speakers Club meets from 7:30 – 9 p.m. today at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center. More information can be found here.
2. Trivia Night: From 7 to 9 p.m. you can bring a team to Trivia Night at the Olney Winery.
3. Yoga and Pints: Michael Stickley, a Vetoga Yoga teacher is teaching a Level 1 Sequence Yoga class at The Barking Dog in Bethesda. The class is open to the public, service members, veterans, and first responders interested in trying Yoga for the first time. The class costs $15, which also covers two beers, and starts at 7 p.m.
4. Sharing the Light: Montgomery County Stroke Association is inviting stroke survivors and caregivers at MCSA’s Special event, called Sharing the Light, Sharing Our Strengths. The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holiday Park Senior Center in Silver Spring.
5. Meditation workshop: Learn about the power of meditation tonight at 7 p.m. at the Gaithersburg library.
