1. Council in Session: Montgomery County Council meets at 10:30 a.m. in the council hearing room in Rockville. Here’s a look at the agenda.
2. Gaithersburg Reads: Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman has started a community-wide book club and he’s encouraging everyone to read “American Dirt” by Jeanine Cummins, an alumnus of Gaithersburg High School. “American Dirt” hits bookstores today so make sure to get a copy and save the date for March 31. Cummins will return to Gaithersburg High School for a large Gaithersburg Reads book discussion.

4. Coffee with a Cop: Montgomery County Police officers from the Rockville district are talking to community members from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Pike and Rose Starbucks, located at 11860 Grand Park Avenue.
5. Fenton Village Bicycle Meeting: Montgomery County Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. about the Fenton Village Bicycle and Pedestrian Projects. The meeting will be in the multipurpose room of East Silver Spring Elementary School, located at 631 Silver Spring Avenue.
